Hyderabad
Book Trust is a not-for-profit publishing collective set up in 1980 to address
the need for broad-based diverse reading that addresses the concerns of
society, for all sections of Telugu people.
It is also a registered trust.
We
publish 10-20 books a year on varied topics.
The
people behind HBT
HBT still
largely runs on volunteer work by dedicated individuals who read, review, edit,
proof-read, design covers and layout, and otherwise help in the myriad work
associated with publishing.
This blog, for instance, was maintained and run by Prabhakar Mandaara from May 2008 till recently.
The trust board has G Manohar, Shanta Sinha, Madhavilata, A.Bhaskar, B. Syamasundari, M. Sashi Kumar and Gita Ramaswamy,
and our full timers presently are Ravi Battula, Zubel and K.Suresh

మా గురించి...
హైదరాబాద్ బుక్ ట్రస్ట్ 1980లో నెలకొల్పబడిన లాభాపేక్షలేని ప్రచురణా సంస్థ. అన్ని వర్గాల తెలుగు ప్రజల అభిరుచులనూ, సామాజిక సమస్యలనూ దృష్టిలో పెట్టుకుని విశాల దృక్పథంతో పుస్తకాలను వెలువరించాలన్నది సంస్థ లక్ష్యం.
ఇందుకుగాను ఒక ట్రస్టును కూడా ఏర్పాటు చేయడం జరిగింది.
ప్రతి సంవత్సరం విభిన్న అంశాలపై పది నుంచి ఇరవై వరకూ పుస్తకాలను క్రమంతప్పకుండా ప్రచురిస్తున్నాం.

ఈ సంస్థ ప్రధానంగా కొంతమంది అంకింతభావంతో అందించే సేవలపై ఆధారపడి నడుస్తోంది. పుస్తకాల ఎంపిక, సమీక్ష, ఎడిటింగ్, ప్రూఫ్ రీడింగ్, ముఖచిత్ర రచన వంటి అనేక అంశాలలో వారు సహాయపడుతున్నారు.
ఉదాహరణకు ఈ బ్లాగును 2008 మే నుంచీ ప్రభాకర్ మందార స్వచ్ఛందంగా నిర్వహిస్తున్నారు.
